8.3 miles of rough terrain and beach setting out at 9pm, with an incoming tide higher than I'd seen for a while.

7 for 7.

That sounds invigorating, Swittle.
#RED8 was an early one, but only a mile as my knee is complaining again.

Oh, well done, but take it steady, GM - flat grassland, park etc. - easier on the whole person.

Well done, you lot. Still trying to work out what sort of run to try tonight - stiff achilles and not able to get out until 9pm at earliest, so not feeling the mojo yet today...

blimey Dooogs, I don't think I would find mojo either if I had to go out so late.

Well done Gimme & swittle, Careful of that knee GM - hope it's ok and just moaning because it's Monday.

Day 8 *tick* for me - an uneventful 3 miles.

Cheers, minardi. I've slipped into running later, simply because I like the solitude of running in the dark.

Tonight, just after 8pm, with a reluctant headtorch, I ran the trails around the lakes and then ventured up the beach before heading home over the coastal park. 4.8 miles.

Swittle - the moors above Huddersfield are perfect for solitude. I didn't see another pedestrian within 20 yards for at least 45 mins. 8/8 so far (6 and a bit miles, finishing just before 11).

Min - I didn't get home from ThatLondon til 7, then it was kiddie bedtime, and then OH had Mummies Running Club...

Swittle & Dooogs - well done for your dark running! It's not something I could really contemplate until the evenings close in and there is no choice but then I guess, needs must and all that!

I love dark running but not at night. It seems more scary in the evening but much safer in the mornings :)
It was so mild this morning. I enjoyed 3.3 miles but shouldn't have gone so far. I've had niggley knee all day today :(

Dooogs - I was brought up in Wakefield and spent too much time in my 20s embibing and watching HTAFC. Used to run on the tops from Holmfirth.

Tonight: 4.1 miles around the Marina & up the beach. Heard shouts in the distance and remembered that a rowing club practises on the lake...in the dark! :-o
