I'll be watching... to see if Milner-Skudder can drop any more balls with the line at his mercy, and thus cost my fantasy team more points.

I see the Welsh have been given an official warning after breaching World Cup training rules theguardian.com

Broken the rules, or broken the 'spirit' of the rules?

I was only quoting the article word-for-word... but you are correct, the World Rugby statement states they've broken the "spirit" of the rules.

You would imagine there is a pretty clear rule defining whether this is or isn't acceptable. Unfortunately, the only Tournament Rules I can find online (https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/tournament-rules) would appear incomplete to me. For example, there is no rule limiting the squad size to 31, which presumably everyone agrees is a rule? Hence, the fact there is no rule listed precluding using non-World Cup squad players in training listed doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

Christ the press are making out Ford has been dropped & he is devestated. He's still on the bench FFS. I know it's not the same as starting, but really? Some journo's accuse the Welsh of being obsessed over the number ten choices, I think they should look in a mirror.

More worrying is the 11th hour mid field tinkering. I thought we all agreed Burges was an impact player to be brought on not a starter?

Wales may have injury woes but I'm thinking they'll be a little more optimistic this evening.

Romania had a great start last night but the French just turned the screw as the game progressed and the out come was inevitable.

And Fiji again doing so well, against quite a lot of er Fijians!

Hoping to get NZ on the work telly tonight, I'm here till 9 boo.

Well it sounds like he has been dropped, and he may well be devastated. Being on the bench is not the same as you said.

Cheg - I assume that in most cases where two were used, the primary fly half was rested?

If he is devastated about being dropped, he should not play international rugby again as he clearly doesn't have the mental toughness.

Yeah SPR generally against the minnow.

2007 had Barkley, Catt and Wilkinson.think that was part injuries and also Catt got moved around a lot based on the opposition.

Coming into Stratford, game on!

I find that the news websites feel the need to provide a fresh article every day in the run up to the match. They'll quote Shaun one day, and Andy the next; and it's almost always a bit on the tenuous and lightweight side. None of us really know any of the truths about what goes on within any squad, all we get is 'today's story'.

Lancaster has never decided who his number one fly half is out of Ford and Farrell. The fact he's swapped them when Ford didn't play badly against Fiji shows this.

Word was that Farrell (along with jonny may) have been absolutely superb in training camp. Maybe looking your squad in the eye, telling them places are still there for anyone who kicks thedoor down and then being true to that word is a good thing.

Hope Ford is a pro. If so, he'll be back. I remember a young no. 10 getting benched for a crucial world cup game. Name: Jonny Wilkinson. We lost the game tho'. He did ok tge next world cup......
