If true, because as far as I can gather it is still just "paper talk", then I'm a little unimpressed with that selection.

I agree with PtB's points (#5081) about ruck clear out and scrum, although TBH I don't think Burgess plays in weight in terms of ruck clearout just yet. On reflection, another area that needed rectifying from the Fiji game was the running lines in the backs, and the tendency to drift across the pitch. That all starts from the fly-half, so I wonder whether Ford is paying the price for that; although we were a lot better in the second half when Burgess came on.

We are going to be second best in ruck clear out vs Warburton, Tupiric et al, but that will be nothing compared to the utter hiding we will get from Hooper/Pocock a week later.

Murrayfield 1990 - what happened there then? *whistles nonchalantly*

Triplet Dad
My employers have accepted the reality that everyone was going to be "working from home" this afternoon so have set up our TV's in the Atrium to play the Scotland/Japan game to keep them in the building.

As a neutral I'm holding the fort in our team to allow the locals to watch the game - hopefully it will be reciprocated should Ireland find themselves playing mid week at any point.

I'm stuck in some miserable workshop. If I'm lucky it'll end early enough to see last knockings down the pub, espeically as the games seem to last about 100 minutes (elapsed time) these days. Let's hope 3 or 4 of the Japanese tries have to go to TMO...:-)

Crash Hamster
Personally, I'd rather see us try to run Wales off their feet, but it seems it's time for that old favourite, the crash ball...
Meanwhile, ma ain folk vs. the Special Snowflakes; could be a banana skin, that one...
