SPR he was in the top 18, he missed the top12. Daleys profile is much bigger than his performances warrant. I'm gutted for him because he would definitely have been in the shake up for the medals. The margins are so fine, and he still has that one bogey dive, one error and his head went a little.

The girls were pushing, they couldn't have gone with that pace, if they had they explode and don't medal. Jorgensen was always going to win. Job done, well done girls.

Cheg - I know, that was after the last 18 where he essentially said that was his best performance., My point was could he have held something back yesterday to be better today? If you're borderline to qualify you have to go all out, but given he was 1st he can't have been borderline.

"I have a medal and you don't" - that's pretty cheeky from Spirig!

Is that because Jorgensen wanted her to work? That's fair enough, you use whatever advantage you have. Essentially she's saying she isn't desperate for medal as she's won already.

Maybe diving is one of those sports where you can't go easy otherwise the dives go wrong. It's like hurdling, you have to go at a certain pace otherwise you don't clear them.
