I have recently heard that a lot of curly haired people only use conditioner to wash hair. I think that's ordinary conditioner though, not solid stuff.

I'm going to persevere with the shampoo bar for a while. Apparently there is a 'transition period' where your hair feels weird.
It's annoying because I'm going out tomorrow (rarely happens - but is just lunch with my sister and the podgeling). I've been plaiting it and trying not to touch it much.

Also here is a fact sheet from the UN about the plastics in your cosmetics (shampoos, etc): https://wedocs.unep.org/bitstream/handle/20.500.11822/21754/PlasticinCosmetics2015Factsheet.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=

So many products with plastic (as well as micro-beads) that are being washed into our water ways!

I'm loving the Lush shampoo bar I have - it's also brilliant for traveling -small and not going to leak.

Did conditioner exist when we were kids/teens? I wonder if its something invented to sell more chemicals?

I’ve used a lush shampoo bar for a while. When my hair was long the ends were dry and tangly but I’ve had it cut short and it’s fine. I made my own shampoo bars a couple of weeks ago but they have to cure for a month before I can use them.

I want to make some reusable bags for loose fruit and veg. They need to be translucent so the till person can see what's in them, and stand up to the occasional rinse out. Any fabric recommendations from anyone who's done similar?

I think the gauze bags that various knitting supplies retailers use to package their yarn would be ideal as fruit'n'veg bags.

I'm quite prepared, now there are only two of us at home, just to weigh half a dozen apples or carrots individually and not put them in bags till the checkout, but I wouldn't have tried that when I was feeding a small army.
