It’s a bit dry and maybe not of interest to many, but this youtuber, who is a very good ‘local’ (to where he lives) rider, goes over Jay Vine’s numbers. It’s all on strava and all Vine’s Zwift stuff is available too and it’s a quick comparison. In summary, 6W/Kg up the final climb and it looks like Vine knew exactly what he was capable of and went up there at a pretty constant 450W. Gulp!
Looks like Eurosport Player is disappearing but you can keep it if you still have it (at £39.99).
New subscribers either go for GCN at £39.99 or Discovery plus Entertainment and Sport at £59.99.
I planned to let my subscription lapse and re-sign up on Black Friday when Eurosport player is usually 50% off (would miss the last couple of days of the Vuelta). Not sure now. Athletics is back on BBC so one reason to have Eurosport (over GCN) is gone, but Discovery have Olympic right hence BBC coverage wasn't as good last time due to restrictions. Don't think the entertainment side has anything appealing but if it was cheaper than Eurosport it makes sense but tempted to just keep what I have given I don't know what's coming.
Evenepoel still strongest as shown by the finish but Mas and Roglic stayed with him today. Will be interesting to see what happens if the tempo he sets isn't strong enough later in the race.
