In an interview with The Spectator,, external Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said: "Lunch is for wimps. I have food bought in and I work and eat at the same time. "There's no time... sometimes I will get a steak... I'm not a sandwich person. I don't think sandwiches are a real food, it's what you have for breakfast." She added that she would "not touch bread if it's moist". Lunch is for wimps. She sounds like she's living in 1989. Sandwichgate will do her in. |

You must be mistaken, this is the down to earth politician that literally spent a summer flipping burgers and is not at all privileged. Don't all workers have staff to bring them a steak for lunch these days? And presumably feed it to them so they can continue working

I bet Keir has a jam sandwich, white bread, just to keep it real. Possibly with a Dairylea slice and a small bottle of Sunny D.

Following revelations that he likes Pret's halloumi and falafel wrap, the Express has accused Keir Starmer of turning sandwiches Woke. Dear Kemi only eats rare steaks for lunch like a proper tough guy. Brexiteers eat proper British food. |

I like the way she doesn't understand that the constituent parts of a sandwich come from farms. I'm also annoyed that I'm more aligned with Farage on this issue |
