Also any swing against Trump, even in safe red states, could shift results down ballot, which could end up crucial if Trump himself prevails

I'm still very, very nervous of the echo chamber of being pro-Harris. You can see it so clearly in the various polling twitter accounts that they favour one candidate or another, so even if you think you've stumbled upon a reliable commentator, you are still a potential victim of their inherent prejudices about the way they see it going. It remains utterly laughable that enough Reps are still prepared to make this a close contest. I could forgive them in 2016 as he was still unproven. But after 2020 and the last 4 years of utter nonsense from him I can't see how the moderate Rep vote hasn't entirely jumped ship and gifted Harris a 10% shift. But I appreciate in the end it is all more complex than that. |

I wouldn't bet against it either. I would bet that there will be an unholy scramble to wear the MAGA crown and he will be kingmaker though. And there's a slim chance he will find some reason to turn on the Republican Party. He turns on everyone eventually. |

Is there a potential success in the wings? Vance doesn't look like it. Is it actually Musk?

Interesting polls from "Atlasintel", who have Trump up across the piece. Atlasintel who are from, erm, Brazil. I'm sure they are entirely legitimate and aren't being used to skew the race average ahead of a rigged election narrative. |

The successor will be whoever gets their head the furthest up Trump's fundament.

Back on domestic issues, on the IHT on farms I 100% back the concept of closing the loophole which non-farmers owning farmland were benefitting from. But small, trading family businesses? There is Business Relief, which can be up to 100%, for passing shares in a family owned business through a will or through lifetime transfers. Presumably to ensure that family owned businesses don't have to suddenly realise cash when the current "owner" dies. If that is persisting, are family owned farms really any different? Has this been examined by people other than outright amateurs like me? |

Musk can't run as he was born in SA, otherwise we woulda had President Schwarzenegger by now.

Rogan endorses Trump. I guess this was always likely and Harris going on his show would have lent some credibility that he'd heard both sides. Apparently he was convinced by Musk, lol. I'm pretty sure Musk can't run for presidency. |
