Meanwhile Andrea Jenkyns says Johnson should stand in for one of the resignations.

Michael crick is reporting labour need to fill 55 more seats: 9 they currently hold, 11 "winnable" ones and 34 he classes as "no hope"

(Yes that doesn't add up to 55.)

I don't *think* Johnson will feature in this election but he might, just for the shits and giggles, particularly if a loss still means he gets to have 8 weeks off in the summer.

It would need to be a super safe seat and I reckon Sunak would need to okay it. Would he? I suspect he might - because power is everything to the Tories. Get power first, worry about the consequences later.

Define feature.

“Don't vote Starmer. He's only eats fish". That and regurgitating DPP and Savile.

There's several things he could do:
Bag himself a safe seat
Do some campaigning, although why would he, it's always all been about him and what's the upside to helping Sunak, who he doubtless puts in the "backstabbing girly swot" category.
Do nowt. Wait for the dust to settle. Return in a few years like Cincinnatus blah blah blah.
I'm going for the latter.

Although no seats look safe at the moment, which is doubtless also a consideration.
Can't see that Sunak will want the chief clown back on the scene grabbing all the headlines anyway.

Johnson brings absolutely no value to parliament. He is a feckless lazy unserious man who devalues and debases everything he touches.

After what he did previously he should never be allowed to sit in parliament again.

I see Starmer has announced lowering the voting age to 16, which is one of those things that some on here were saying he should do.

It’s also good for the Labour Party as virtually no young people from that age group vote Tory.

However I would suggest if they do that then there is virtually zero chance of PR being brought in.

I think the chances of labour backing pr in the next 4 years are low.
