My head keeps seeing the image of the white patch... The one that everyone knows isn't good
I've medicated with 2 glasses of wine but the brain is insisting that I see this image.

Mr pix thinks it's just them covering their back so I don't sue them rather than there being an actual area of concern

Mr Pix is probably just trying to reassure you and himself. Maybe not in the most helpful way, but we all respond differently to anxiety.

Easy for me to say Pix but worrying won't change anything. xxx

I don't think Mr Pix's comment is really very accurate but there's a lot more benign causes than alarming ones. Maybe "area of interest" would be a better way of putting it. And prompt investigation (which you seem to be getting) is very important in the minority of cases where it does turn out to matter!

Thanks
I guess then putting in a marker is a sign of (possibly) ok now but watch this spot
Doesn’t help that I’m sore now!

Pix, the marker is just to show the biopsy site and perfectly normal. Nothing ominous.

You can always write down all your Q's like "so why did you put a marker in" and ask next time. If the consultant is a bit brief the nurse specialists sometimes have more time.

I wished they told people. Not that hard to say: we will put a tiny marker in to mark where we took the biopsy... 🙄
I have quite good knowledge, because of my training, but I worried all year that my shortness of breath was due to lung metastases... While I have partially collapsed lungs from the ascites. I didn't find out until someone secretly sent my my 4 scan reports. And I am able to interpret them...
Would be so very easy to be candid to put patient's minds at ease!

If you're not being informed about your care then PALS can always help.

Some people don’t want to know. Of course doctors should always respond adequately to questions though.

I had a very clear diagnosis from day one. On the Friday afternoon of my colonoscopy I was told I had a tumour in my rectum and the woman doing the scan said she’d be ‘very surprised if it wasn’t cancer’. Similarly after follow up CT and MRI of scans my liver, I was told I had lesions, which in fairness and hindsight couldn’t really be clearly identified until removed. I’ve never seen the scans, but cannot imagine a lay person having the slightest clue what they meant
