Malted milk dipped on ovaltine or Horlicks. Absolutely lovely.
Almost as good as fig rolls.

Not had a fig roll in goodness knows how many years. Had forgotten about them. I used to like them on long bike rides.

I recall making a pudding in the 70's that was basically a packet of ginger biscuits sandwiched together with whipped cream. The biscuits softened into the cream and it was totally delicious. It probably laid down a whole lot of plaque in my arteries too.
The ginger biscuits were soaked in something alcoholic when mum used to make that, but I don’t know what because we weren’t allowed to taste it! Seeing as mum didn’t drink, I doubt she ate it either but it was standard dinner party fayre.
Ginger nuts, lemon puff or plain digestives for me please.
Only M&s chocolate biscuits taste like they used to, the chocolate on biscuits isn’t how it used to be

Skip did a dessert with Oreos and orange juice and whipped cream on cub camp as part of their cooks badge. I was a helper and tried some just to be polite but it worked very well and ended up eating a portion of it.
