A couple of the recent flouncers seemed to be keen on starting spats themselves, so it seems a bit odd to take offence.

I've just had an email from my bank to say that the interest on one my savings account is going down from 0.05% to 0.01% ... anyone else here remember the heady days of double figure interest rates? Great for savings, not so good for mortgages (remember ours went up to something like 15% for a few days, before settling back down to nearer 13%!!).
