I have cruise control but never used it but that’s because I don’t drive distances

I quite like cruise control, like um says handy for contra flows.
GF thinks auto lights and wipers are a good idea (especially if you have but a single hand) I just smile and nod.
I think if I was in a car that tried parking itself I be screaming and trying to get out.

Love cruise control. It is fab. You can't be caught speeding if you set it to the speed limit.

Am so used to auto lights and wipers now. Cruise control is a god send on long drives in the Camper abroad.
My favorite two things on the Camper are the heated windscreen (great when icy) and the hill assist hand brake

Ahh ... auto/electronic handbrakes. Great for the 2 cars that have them (except for the pull through car wash).
A real danger/worry when I drive my daughter's car that has a real handbrake and I always have to go back and check I put it on.

I’ve never learnt how to put on the cruise control in a car. I accidentally put it on in my wife’s car the other week, that was weird. For some reason it was started at about 24mph and I though there was something wrong with the car when it wouldn’t go any faster. Then I had to keep putting up the maximum speed as we moved from a 30 to a 40mph then unlimited area. I’d rather just used my right foot to control my speed.

Dio, I think it is just habit. Once you're used to using it you'll never go back.

I don't use our cruise control after nearly forgetting to brake, thinking the car would do it automatically 😂 ; I prefer the speed limiter.

Will depend on typical journeys, I can't imagine using it much round here but motorway trips (that I used to do pre-covid) would be a different matter. Certainly appreciated it on long road trips in the USA...
