They are like that, but partly because they just need a release, somewhere to be a little bit silly for a few minutes. Somewhere they can forget all the important stuff and just revert back to the playground or the sports changing room, anywhere where they can find a bit of banter with folk who share social history and obscure trivia from a time when they didn't have to be the one's in charge. I had to join a Europe-wide conference call yesterday where the host took it in turn to go to each country so they could tell us how bad it is. There was no benefit to this whatsoever from a business perspective. I mentioned to another UK colleague on the same call (who appreciates the black humour) that it was like a macabre version of Eurovision.

No, not the complete works of Shakespeare, nor the bible I hasten to add. Could it be Viz? (Surely some mistake, as they like to say in Private Eye).
