Runningfoxx Oct 2019 4:10pm, 29 Oct 2019 84 posts	0 Runningfoxx If you'd been ru‌nning for only 18 months and never won anything in your life, so you nervously went to Church one Sunday morning to pray for strength to run a marathon you'd foolishly entered with 2,000 ft of ascent, aged 55, uncoached, with little training, on the hottest day of the year, and finished up winning your age category in 3:30 - would you just put it down to coincidence, or luck, or feeling good on the day? I couldn't. I went home, fell on my knees and thanked God for a wonderful gift, a gift that enabled me to continue running and winning races on roads, track and fells over all distances from 100m to marathon, many of them in world class times, right into my 80's. It was more than coincidence, more than luck, more than me.
