Toyota used to offer cruise control and a speed limiter. The latter was perfect, until you got to a busy junction (or Gallows Corner roundabout near Romford) and tried to accelerate into the traffic and found it was still turned on. Toyota I believe came to the same conclusion which is why they don't offer it any more.

I thought speed limiter was a good idea until I came to use it. Just as Grep found. We don't have satnav, although we do occasionally use Gooogle maps on our phones, mostly for predicted journey times (comparing routes to places). I still have a Big AA Map in the front of the car.

I haven't got it on my current car, which I've had for over 10 years, but oh how my left leg has been saved over all these years, especially in all our local traffic jams. I still go for the clutch at times though.
