I'll probably go. Probably take my eldest maybe even the eldest two if the age license allows. Always had a good time when I saw them back in the day.

One (very) good debut album, then regurgitating more of the same ad infinitum. Nah, no interest from me.

Will be interesting to see if my eldest son's generation (currently aged 25) and those a few years older than him will be interested - seems anecdotally that Oasis remain popular with that age group; almost like me in the 1980s getting into the Beatles as a teenager.

I disagree Larkin, what's the story is incredible in my opinion, as was Masterplan.

Absolutely each to their own of course. My biggest gripe is that they are the 1990s version of Status Quo. An undeniably good core product, but with very few exceptions, once you've heard one you've heard them all. Zero development, "growth" etc.

That said, I've not listened to an Oasis album for about 20 years, so perhaps I should be open minded about it and take the chance to go back and re-listen. If I do, I'll post back with thoughts!

@larkim Oasis aren't a band I regularly feel the urge to put an album on.

But the band and those two albums were much, much bigger than the music itself.

I had an hour drive this morning and had Teenage Fanclub’s Grand Prix on. Much better than all bar the first few Oasis singles and first album for me

I'd agree with that @paulcook I rarely listen to them but that could be said for many bands from my youth.
