That was a whole load of great Despite nearly being squashed by a van, a car, and the lead runner, it was lovely morning for marshalling Well done everybody

All the marshal efforts are appreciated, your bit did look like a potentially difficult junction. I think I got lapped by the lead runners coming back in to Oakley, was there one guy who was literally miles in front or did I give some random Sunday morning jogger not in the race a big cheer?
Jen - it was not easy at all. The warm conditions definitely made the undulations feel worse. I hope I will be aclimatized if Marathon day is warm!

ndellar... Yep, that guy won by about 10 minutes!
I have dreadful sunburn on my shoulders. I feel very irresponsible not applying SPF, but the weather people lied!

Jen - I've got a few red bits as well! It was getting rather warm for the last few miles, and it is a very nice course but a pretty undulating one in my opinion! Let's hope all our marathons are nice and flat ....
Bedford marshals as great as ever - some of them are quite famous ....

Great day out but boy the last 5 were tough when the heat kicked in, been a long time since I had dry lips and sun burn in a spring race! I just hope the VLM being a flat one will mean the last bit isn't quite so tough.

Can now feel my face glowing - although no other burnt bits.
My first time at Oakley and enjoyed it - although it was more lumpy than expected - and I'd be very pleased to get round VLM at the same pace.

WW - I'm sure you can get round VLM at that pace, especially after a decent taper

Running Beer
That was hard work. I have already spilt kebab on my hoody. NBFS and I did get some funny looks wearing them in a west London pub together so probably best we stagger the washing of them anyway.
Taper time for me too. If today was anything to go by the marathon will be painful for me.

20th from last. I could have slowed down a bit.

Good to see lots of familiar faces today. I ran over to the course from home and then decided to run one loop the wrong way (which was pointed out to me just a few times) before heading home again. Great atmosphere. Only did 10 miles but it was enough. Not sure why I thought leggings and a winter helly top was a good idea!
