Waaaaaaa
What a great race. Fantastic organisation - bit of a school disco feel at the start/finish and a great hoodie (although a bit generously sized so have given to OH!)
2.34 for me, found it pretty hilly and hot but pleased with my 8th out of 107 senior women place

'Unfortunately the Oakley 20 did not have a UKA license & therefore will not be included within our ranking lists.'
UGH. How can this be?
No Power of 10 glory!

Surprisingly. Running the Oakley 20 is not all about the glory and recognition. The hoodie provides the recognition (when you wear it) that you have run the race. The glory comes from crossing the finish line for most.

really felt the hills as i am used to the flat of Milton keynes, but happy with my time of 2:35:44. Hopefully the flat of London will help for a more comfortable steady pace.

Once again a case of RTFM prior to entering the race, if something called the Power of 10 is so important to you. I ran it last year, and completely loved it. My green hoodie's been worn to death, and I'd have entered it again this year had the entry list not closed in the blink of an eye.

The glory comes from the shiny new PB of 2:31 and a trophy for the ladies team prize too
My 9th(!) time around the Oakley course, and each year the hills get bigger and the support from the marshals gets better. Top event, and top hoodie - I can be seen from miles away this morning, I'm wearing it to work

Nice race this, my third Oakley run. Scraped frost off the car first thing but it was warm, still and sunny by the start time. Had a hard cycling time trial Sat pm, and need to crack on with training this week so decided to treat it as a progressive run, starting out at 8 - 8:15mm then pushing the last quarter.
Really enjoyed first lap, more social than a race and met some great people, but more continuously undulating than I remember. Marshalls were staggeringly good and enthusiastic. Around 14 miles started to increase the pace, with miles 7:25, 7:07, 3 at 6:45 odd then a final mile of 6:33. Surprised I wasn't lynched for moving through the field like that ;-), finished in 2:36:30. Thoroughly enjoyable event, as always.
