The Kent Roadrunner medals are BIG! Some medals have 'cheap' written all over them. I must confess that the finisher's medal is something that keeps me going when it get tough during a marathon. My wife gets fed up with the number of t-shirts that I've picked up over the years and would prefer that I only collected a medal just to save space.

I'd prefer something useful like a "buff" (ie a cheapo non-trademark type) or a mug to a medal, but then once in a while I look at the big pile of medals I've stashed in a box and feel happy
