Columba
Bruv is one year too young to be automatically entitled to a flu jab (rules different in Wales from in England). However, he's an essential care worker so that should entitle him. But the surgery said yes it does, but they won't do it, he'll have to go to a pharmacy. The two local pharmacies have had no flu vaccine in stock for weeks.
Meanwhile he's been given a date for the covid vaccine. And one of the pharmacies has rung him up and said they now have some flu vaccine so he can come and get it.
Only he can't, because the date will be too close to the covid vaccine - you can't have the two vaccines close together.

I wonder why Columba - I asked on Wednesday at my second clinical trial vaccine jab whether it was OK to go ahead and have my flu jab on Saturday and they said yes. Maybe it's something specific to the mRNA vaccine.

I saw something on that internet thing which said leave 7 days between one and the other. Maybe it's one of those Nobody Really Knows things.

I don't know the answer, but that's what we've been told from work as well.

I was given an apprentice to guide around today. I think she’s 10. Either that or I’m getting quite old.

After a small spate of 'thanks, but we're not talking your application any further' emails, I've got a Skype interview in January for a job that might actually suit me quite well.
