I suggest that “almost” is very close to being complete, whereas “not entirely” is almost “almost” but not entirely 🙂

The sole and upper of my trail shoes had an irrevocable breakdown in communication this evening as I climbed the slipway from Crosby Beach. Unusually, the split had started at the heel.
