Choccie- Dublin is one on my to do list at some point! I loved the training and definitely want to experience some of the other big city marathons for the crowds and buzz.
I diod get worse and getting on the plane and moving around there was worth watching!

Congrats to everyone who made it. Was wondering if you know when all the chip times will be posted. Still can't see mine and the database does not recognise me.

Hiya, I'm back today! Well, you can see my race report for the full detail, but I got a PB, although STILL didn't break 4 hours. It's such a tough race and I was woefully unrested and fed - I got my medal, but then had to be carried into the medical tent to be fed salt and dodgy chicken broth...... the atmosphere was just incredible, though. A lot better than London, even. All those people shouting your name really made you feel like a bit of a hero. It couldn't help me over the Queensboro bridge, though - oh, and I fell over on the Verrazano bridge and banged my head off the kerb within seconds of the start. And I had my watch time wrong, so was an hour early to try to meet Elastic Orange etc - I was so gutted that there was no-one at the medical tent, but it was all my own fault as I eventually realised. What an experience. (And I loved NY, I was so gutted to leave yesterday. Tuesday was one of the best days of my life. Helicopter ride, NY's best pizza and cheesecake in Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge, boutique shopping in Soho and Nolita, cocktails and clubbing. Wow).

I ran for Marie Curie, although they partner with 2:09, who booked my flight and entry. I booked my own accommodation, sharing an apartment, which was much better value than using the team hotel ($1600 for 6 nights for an apartment for 4). As to the ballot, none of the 7 people I know who tried it got in.
