Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I agree re: don't reveal hiding places.
It would make it too easy to target people in subsequent rounds - not that everyone will just hide in the same place again, obviously, but those who have limited square accessibility may not have many options.

I don't think it would improve the game and would take time from more important uses of Fetch's time so it got a no from me I'm afraid.

I've been busy and missed all the fun...but got my best result yet at 19th. I don;t think that gets me in the most wanted gallery though. Damn my nemesis from another game, Maccathecracker! [Just writing this so I can pin my own post to keep a record!].

Well done RunningRonnie the final hider, and Sam Jelfs for being the final successful seeker.

I agree that we shouldn't reveal hiding places. However, it wouldn't harm those with limited access, since you can move your grid easily to change the grid coordinates representing the same physical hiding place.

MazH, if you go to the home tab of the game here: fetcheveryone.com/hideandseek.php

...there is a list of everyone caught in reverse order with RunningRinnie on the top. I counted from the top.

If I look at the seeking map, it is now 100% grey as all squares have been visited. I also see one yellow square (2 across, 38 down) which is not where I hid last month nor is it where I am hiding for the next game. Does anyone else have a yellow square on their seekers map?

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Here's the barebones of the new game:

fetcheveryone.com/hideandseek.php

How it works
The game generates a big three mile square with you at the centre. The square is cut into a grid of 1600 smaller squares.

During any given, unlock as many squares from your grid as possible (C19 permitting) by visiting them during your training. These are the places where you can 'hide'. Before the month is up, you must choose one of these squares as your hiding place.

When the first game kicks off (1st of the month), a lone seeker must start finding people, by visiting the squares. When someone is found, they become a seeker too. The seekers can then collaborate to flush out the hiders, and a growing army of seekers hunt down the final hiders.

The last person to be found will become the seeker for the following month.

IMPORTANT
I am still building the game. Keep following this thread for updates as I make them.
