Ian - I wasn't suggesting that you do an automatic retrospective search (I know that would be a massive exercise!), I just wondered if you could (manually) select a specific run from your log on the same route to let you get a credit for that mile. (no big deal though:-) )

Dvorak
It may be a glitch, but not only was I credited with a time for a mile which I created, I then also beat it :-) Notification received and time on the mile updated.

I couldn't click on either mine or IanS's miles earlier (IDs 167 and 187). And when I zoomed in - they disappeared.

I've made four miles so far, three of them parkrun based. So hopefully they will be covered on Saturday (though not by me). The other one is a road which at least one Fetchie runs down often - hopefully soon :-)

I reckon a mile along the busway in an easterly direction with the current conditions, and even the most average of athlete will go sub-4 ;-)

How in the other direction time would be measured in hours!

Sigh
Since this is a new feature, I'll ask stupid questions :-)

I've created a mile at Hanley parkrun: fetcheveryone.com/mile-view.php?id=246

The dotted line representation of the mile doesn't follow the actual path selected when creating the mile: fetcheveryone.com/t-16979475

I assume that this is just the graphics, and that the route will be sufficiently wide to cater for variances in gps trace logged by users. Or not....

Sigh - read the comments at the end of Fetch's blog between myself and Ian.
Basically he's split the mile into 10 points, the line shown on the map is not your trace, its straight lines connecting the 10 points. You have to be within 40m of all 10 ponts to "qualify". Hope I got that right !

Wriggling Snake
Both my miles are just about straight lines so when you eat foot in my miles...it is a mile.

I ran down Dvorak’s non-parkrun mile and it worked 😀

Ok, I give in. When I click the ‘build a mile’ tab I get this

No map, no slider.

What am I doing wrong?

How do I add a Fetch Mile?
Go to any entry in your training log, and look for the Build A Mile link just above the map. Click that, and drag the slider to highlight the relevant mile. Give it a name and a description, and save it!

Fetch's To Do List
6) Some way of picking up your historical visits
9) A way to see your own miles
11) Badges for creators and visitors
12) Everything else.

Fetch's Done List
1) Make run and bike into separate leaderboard tables
3) Ability to add an image.
2) A 'Back' button that returns you to the last-viewed area rather than home
4) Elevation graph
5) Larger clickable area for individual miles
7) Jump To Location box for easier navigation
8) Remove the 'Build A Mile' link if there's no GPS trace available
10) Leaderboard of people who have visited most miles
