First apologies if there is already a thread

But a place to maybe share your favourites

It doesn't have to be running cycling and swimming do exist.

But running is meant to be fun because why do it otherwise. Granted not every run

I ran this evening an out and back run where time matches the year.

Started doing it last year 20:22 (10:11 out and back)

This year being an odd number it's 10:12 out and 10:11 back

Today having not done it since May did it and almost as far but close

1.85 miles today

Good fun despite the rain

On bigger day, you could run out for 20:23 and try to beat it coming back.

When I went to bootcamp, I used to love what our coach called his 'Undergroud Workout' it was all the heavy, awkward stuff - wobble balls, tyre flipping, bags full of sand that sort of thing.
He also did his version of yoga which he liked to call 'Industrial Yoga' just to make us laugh.
Gotta love a bit of functional strength.

Running wise, hill reps in a very masochistic sort of way.

Not sure if any of the activities I am doing at the moment count as a "workout"! Barely able to call it training, except in the sense that any activity or movement contributes to better cardio vascular health, fitness and/or strength. So, I'm enjoying sailing most at the moment, or a fast and hard paddleboard 45 mins - 1 hour.

I do enjoy my gym, but seem to have skipped it recently. Probably more life and work getting in the way. Running has been injury hampered. My fave when I can run is a run in the warm - either sun or rain - up a hill, in woods, along the coast or anywhere remote, and as long as I can manage that is comfortable. With or without others, love both! :-) G

If we're doing running workouts we (a loose group of local runners) used to do 400m intervals reasonably regularly. We found that the local leisure centre entrance worked as the start, then you ran the lollipop shaped cul-de-sac pavement and finished directly opposite said leisure centre entrance. No roads to cross, you can see everyone all the time, you can leave bottles and coats where you start and they won't get nicked, and it's all lit and not busy.

All good except that you're running 400m intervals! It got referred to as the Cul-de-sac of Pain!

You could really go for it and do a Back to the Future run and come back in 19:55

cackleberry mentioning bootcamp reminded me of my favourite bootcamp workout - super 7s:
70 skips
7 burpees
7 shuttle runs

7 times

I hated it when I first started doing bootcamp, but now I love it (in a type 2 kind of way) :-)
