Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I just said about garden camping to Liebling and she

a) looked at me like I'd said we should go down a volcano or something
b) claimed I hated camping the last time we did it.

I have countered with the fact that I got no effing covers and everybody else ended up in two sleeping bags such that I was freezing all night.

Camping in your own garden is the perfect way to camp, because you know the loos and cooking facilities will be acceptable :-).

I think there's a few weeds amongst whatever the blue plants are WS, might be penstemons.

We used to camp in the garden in the summer when we were kids, mainly because we were kicked out so students and visitors could have our beds! I'm never going to camp again now. The last time I camped was on the banks of a river in Nepal on a mat on the ground. I couldn't go out all night as on my last wee before bed I saw a scorpion in the hole in the sand. :-o It was a very long night - I couldn't wait for the light to come at 5 a.m.

Last time OH and I camped together (in the early 80s ;-)) he said if he wasn't married to me he'd never go on holiday with me again.

3 weeks of solid rain in the Dordogne did not make me a happy camper :-)

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
