Got patted on the head for putting extinguisher down and walking away saying "if that was the curtains in my flat, I'd be running away and dialling 999 right now." Apparently that was the right thing to do. Replacement handbasin collected and waiting for plumber visit tomorrow. Interview in place for promotion so tiny you wouldn't be able to see it with the naked eye. Conveniently, it's 45 minutes after my current scary deadline, which will give me 45 minutes to prepare for it.
