Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My friend told me yesterday that she’d been to ikea that morning just to pick up a kid’s bed and stayed so long she’d missed the afternoon school run. I asked her where her children actually were and she was kind of vague…

I quite fancy the idea of painting sunflowers on one of the walls of my house but there's probably a clause forbidding such things in the conditions attached to the housing development I live in.

I've never been to Ikea. Never wanted to buy any furniture etc that they sell. If there was one nearby and convenient I would pop in to try the meatballs. But there isn't.

Nearly finished sewing up the cardigan I'm making. One sleeve left to do.

Having lunch of ham sandwich and cup of tea number two.

I like IKEA in the right situation. The right situation being a weekday morning in term time when I’m shopping by myself.

I was the sort of parent who took their kids to Ikea and let them run wild. (There was a proper play area when it first arrived but that disappeared at some point.)

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
