I've had way too much to eat already today. Pizza to come later.

I popped over to &S for a few bits. It was very busy, not enough tills open and freezing in there. I had to dig out my jogging bottoms and put them on when I got home. I'd probably have put the heating on by now but I'll try and leave it a few more days yet.

I was thinking about the heating this morning. In previous years the minimum temperature on the thermosat would have been reached by now (I think it was 20*, possibly 19*) and the heating would be coming on now and again. But we've turned the minimum down to 18* so no heating yet. As long as I'm wearing leggings (running leggings that is) and socks, I'm fine, so we probably wasted energy and money in previous years.

That's so true LD
People have scoffed at comments about saving energy but we have grown used to wasting it

I have often commented on houses with curtains open and people wearing tee shirts in mid winter in the house.

With loads of lights on
I'm not saying that winter won't be tough for some but wearing a jumper inside is not a hardship and ok at this time of year so delay putting the heating on

Mine is down to 5 degrees. I usually only have one light on for the room I’m in. All this is easier to stick to when it’s just you of course :-)

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
