Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sofa, Pb on toast.

Listening to husband’s phone, he is in a queue to the GP, was 41 nearly an hour ago, now number 17.

Oh dear, Fields. Hope you're feeling better soon.

In Wetherspoons. Had breakfast. Now onto coffee number two.

hugs, Pix. I suspect there might be a few Warwickshire teachers saying that this time next week. 😉

Back from a walk into town. Glass of cold orange juice to hand.

Thanks Ness
was saying to a friend
I think the problem with speaking to a financial advisor with the hope or retiring earlier is that you then start thinking I'm of an age when I could be retired soon! why not now?!

I know, I was similar at your age. I took my career break just after my 50th birthday but only had about half a term off before going back on supply teaching and eventually getting a different permanent contract for a few years. Those extra years have certainly helped top up the pension fund though so now at 55 finances are better than they would have been otherwise for me. It'll be worth it in the end for you too.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
