That is a nice dilemma. In Mr Ness' last job holidays ran from the date of his birthday. So his yearly allocation started on March 12th. No idea why they did it that way.
Still in Wetherspoons. Waiting for Mr Ness to get us a second cup of coffee.

when we both worked for TSB you had to give every holiday date for the year ahead the whole branch did then the manager worked out who could have them this process went on for a few weeks before you knew what holiday you had!

Where Mr Ness worked there was enough in the team so he didn't have to book that far in advance. Also he could use accumulated flexi time to take an extra day a month. He sometimes had more flexi than that when he'd been training staff at the Cambridge lab.
