Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just a pity I think I have missed the boat for the moment as everywhere is out of stock and local bike shops are all still closed. I will keep looking..

A bike is for life not just for lockdown lol ;-)

Roast chicken dinner. Managed a workout whilst it cooked. Think blood pressure might be low again. Felt all wibbly after.

LG I've got a Trek FX 3 hybrid, which I really like for 'general purpose' cycling. There is also a Trek FX2, which was recommended in the Times the other week in an article about people getting into cycling in these pandemic times. OH thinks for the extra money the FX3 is a much better bike, but you may not want to fork out as much as that.

The only thing I would say, is that in a fit of enthusiasm after the London Olympics I decided I should get back on my bike and went off to Halford's without OH and came back with this: halfords.com It was OK to help me build my confidence again, but eventually I got frustrated with its heaviness and lack of gears and it hasn't been out of the shed for years now.

I can't ride a bike with drop handlebars. It's one of the few things my back actually stops me doing. The others are picking a pen up from by my chair if i drop it, doing technically proper camels in belly dance and having an epidural. Luckily life is pretty damn fine without those things in it.

Watching Greg Wallace talk about crisps.

In my defence I’ve been out horse riding and dog walking and now I’m tired.

I have failed to do my knitting for two days running now. I'm saving it up for the forecast wet days later this week.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
