Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I heard on telly somewhere quite recently that often bread is not left long enough or warm enough for the rise and also too weak on the kneading.

Programme about Ken Dodd.

Very late to the plane chat, but that A400 Voyager most probably flew over my house before it flew over yours, LG. It's been practising flying to Staverton (aka Gloucestershire airport) for the last week.

Plane-spotting got a bad rep here a couple of weeks ago gloucestershirelive.co.uk

Fun fact: My first ever running event was the Race for Life at Kemble airport. :-)

I sometimes use my airing cupboard to prove bread.

Airing cupboard is trad I think. I left my dough by the Aga and I’d have thought the temp would have been okay. I think the yeast was past it’s best

My airing cupboard doesn't have room to prove bread. Usually, it goes on the boiler in winter. This spring I've been putting it in the greenhouse

I don’t have an airing cupboard any more - our combi boiler is in the loft.

Early bed. Barely up 11 hours. The spring just seems to have wound down.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
