Tesco was a surreal experience. Short queue outside. Spray for handle and sanitizer for hands. Got most of what we needed with the exception of a chicken for roasting (which buggers up the menu plan) and pasta bows (we can improvise). I had to do quite a few substitutions, mostly for more expensive versions of things. We should be good for a couple of weeks though.

I have to say I felt really anxious as I left our wee village. I’ve not been away from our little bubble for 8 days and it felt like I was taking a risk.

The chicken I got today from the butcher was quite small but at least Sunday is catered for and any left over will be a stir fry on Monday

Yeah LG we were relying on roast chops tomorrow and leftovers for quesadillas on Sun. I have chicken breasts in the freezer so I’ll work something out.

I’ve been out so we should be good till after least tue and possibly fri. No salad unfortunately but we have hummus and parsley. And crisps.
I made some biscuits and felt like a goddess earlier. This may or may not be related to the fact I’m stuck on some work

We got a Tesco delivery which made me feel smug. Then I started to work out what they hadn't delivered. So someone will have to go out anyhow. We haven't shopped since Sat so not bad, but I was hoping for another week, especially as we've got the milkman and just got a fruit/veg box from a local supplier.

I forgot to buy a chicken at Sainsbury’s but it’s not urgent. I did get nuggets so they will probably be more popular anyway :)

Just had a packet of crisps and that felt like a massive luxury. Can’t stockpile them as they get eaten as fast as I can buy them. If I only do a big shop every 10 days or so as usual then the kids will just have to go without and appreciate them more when I get them!

I was just reminding QP that if he eats all the chocolate in 3 days then he’ll have a long wait for more.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
