I heard what I think was my next door neighbour clapping and wondered what the hell was going on. Sadly her lone slow clap sounded a bit sad and sarcastic.
Dishes done. I'd quite like to just go to bed now. In fact i think I will. I really need to finish the god awful book my mother gave me for Christmas (she insists on buying me chick lit type stuff which really isn't my thing) and start something decent.

Roast dinner. I think I should go shopping tomorrow, getting a bit antsy about not having enough for more than another week and very few potatoes, onions and bread. Not enough flour for very long either.

Heading dow trails towards Crosby Marina, the outbreak of applause took me by surprise because there was so much! Followed up by a couple of fireworks and folk in the streets chatting. Well, it *is* Liverpool!
