Maybe, if it wasn't the quiet carriage, they'd be all-out fighting each other?

Sprinkling of snow here.

Wind appears to be reducing a little. One more cup of coffee then I'll go out and see for myself.

Breakfast. It looks nice out but it's still only about 4*. Dentist in an hour.

Grim here. Still really windy and sleety. Glad I only had my usual 20 min commute today. Metoffice says it 2* but feels like -4* - I think that is accurate.

3rd coffee. Scrubbing later.
Where shall I take T9 in half term (can be overnight/s), preferably somewhere Mr W won't mind missing as he's off on a jolly? Eg flat/boring. Suggestion so far was Portsmouth (Mary Rose etc) but Mr W wants to go too!

I'd encourage you to take him somewhere Mr W would really, really like to go too, and rub it in about how much you're enjoying it, but I'm mean like that.

That's an option, V'rap, but we could have gone with him - but I decided Munro-bagging was too long in the car/not enough to do in foul weather/not enough suitable outerwear for growing child/no car for me to use / sleeper train too expensive / yada yada.

Noooo, he'd be getting frustrated trying to get us up large inclines!

Mazlin, the other day I watched an Escape to the Country where their budget was something like £1.5 million. The houses in that price range (apologies to anyone whose dream house this would be) all seemed to be full of echo-ey hard glossy spaces and lights in the skirting boards. I'd have spent less money and got something much homelier.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
