Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Calais. In a positive turn of events, the usual chaos here is not happening so the nice ferry chap put us on a ferry an hour early. He said it’s quiet because of a French bank holiday today. Which would explain why the supermarkets we tried to visit were closed and the open one was packed.

My bum hurts. We avoided the Brussels ring road though.

C9 got everything wet splashing in the sea. I was holding her swimsuit for most of it like a slightly pointless parent

I would totally love all supermarkets to have the same layout but how will they trick us into spending more money if we don't accidentally end up in the wrong aisle. How would they keep me in there so long I end up eating some of my shopping before I get to the check out?

Movie watched. QP has had an upset stomach and is therefore not kayaking tonight. I have a sneaking suspicion I am about to meet the same fate.

On a ferry eating a curry. Always the most reliable food option, it’s cauliflower. Really nice actually.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
