So it seems like I have a irritated nerve in my foot, and it’s called Morton’s neuroma apparently. Anyone have any experience of this and can give some tips how to manage it, or get some relief so I maybe just don’t have to completely get away from running with rest. It’s exactly where the top arrow points, but on my left foot. Se pic in next post. |

I had this i found using hoka bondi (allegedly the most cushioned trainers)for running and general walking allowed me to walk and keep running

Ok thanks. I use pretty soft shoes. Saucony speed 2, Hoka speedgoat, Hoka Clifton. So it’s not much I can do there. I might try some walking to get som blood and oxygen flowing to ease the inflammation. |

I found avoiding any unnecessary walking helped and also avoiding normal shoes

davelord ok, well it completely disappears after the run so hopefully it’s mild for so far. Will be careful for a while and se how it goes. I’ve read a bit about put two of the toes together with tape. I’ll try that as well. Thanks teebee, maybe they’ll find this thread then. |

Frosty The Bowman 🇸🇪 I had MN in my left foot, between the second and third metatarsal. Rest didn't help initially (or I was too impatient!) I had insoles from the podiatrist which helped a bit but then bit the financial bullet and paid for a steroid injection which was followed by 6 weeks rest. I also got new insoles from the pod, this time with a metatarsal dome to spread my toes. Of everything, I'd say the metatarsal domes have been the clincher. Nearly three years on I now buy my own insoles and metatarsal domes (they are very cheap on Amazon, compared to a podiatrist fee!) and thst particular problem has long been dormant. I have tried giving up the domes but I can sense a grumble coming back so have gone back to them. So, in sum, I'd recommend a podiatrist assessment and maybe some insoles from them, then you might be able to be self sufficient thereafter. Good luck! |

Thanks LittleDonkeyDaisy I’ll look in to some insoles. It feels like it will be strange running with. A big dome under the problem area. But I’ve read about it too so it seems like the way to go. |
