Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have spent the weekend cleaning and treating two decks, and sanding and treating some garden furniture - which i haven't quite finished.

It looks good, but its a real pain in the arse to do, at least i had good weather and its done now :-)

I have done no training for over a week now :-(

I dug out a lot of pervasive weeds and transplanted some stray raspberry canes to the now cleared patch as I want to put something (I think it is a winter honeysuckle but I'm not sure - it did flower when it was -15C which was quite impressive) in their spot. The rasps don't look very happy though.

I don't think you can. I had the same problem with my sweet peas last year. They traveled vast distances to climb up a not-especially-nearby clematis instead :(

My Himalayan Poppies came into bloom over the weekend. Such a gorgeous vibrant shade of blue, I've been growing them on from one plant I bought a few years ago and feel very proud of them. No doubt the wind will have blown their lovely petals off by tomorrow :(
