I seem to have a lot of grapes which look pretty ripe but taste very tart. Is there anything useful (other than wine) that I could do with them?

Clematis having a second flowering up here, also some begonias and ageratums are hanging on. Otherwise, a lot of the bedders performed poorly this year. I was in a posh town on Sunday and one garden in particular was just filled with dahlias, chrysanths and such all in full bloom. Hmm... maybe they had all just been planted.

I'm quite new to this garnening stuff so any advise will be helpful. I have bought some bulbs and a clematis - is now the right time to plant them? I'm pretty sure it is for the bulbs but not sure about the clematis.
Also I've tried growing brussel sprouts and I've got good big plants but they now have hundreds of caterpillers on them eating all the leaves - what is the best course of action?

Mowed lawn today. I *think* this might be the last cut this time.

We did a 'last cut' last weekend. Still growing like billy-o, but too wet to cut.
