i must say i usuall only buy cherry tomatoes but i was thinking after i had asked the question that i should probably have one for eating = cherry obv... and maybe a variety for cooking or bottling. Does anyone still bottle tomatoes, i remember my family doing that when i was a child? thanks i'll have a look at Sungold. |

Bottling? No idea. If my father-in-law was here he'd be insisting I mentioned 'moneymaker'. But he isn't. So I won't

Anyone got any tips for a kid proof lawn (football). Excluding concrete and astroturf. Every year by the autumn it looks like a dust bowl, compacted, and unlovely. So I re-seed, aerate all the rest of it to no avail. Top tips? |

Al, keep doing what you're doing and wait for them to grow up It's the least stressful way and you get to have a kickabout with the kids too

Every summer my lawn disappears under a trampoline, a tent, some goalposts and a BBQ - go with the flow and enjoy em while they're young !! Planning on starting off my Tomatoes this weekend Can't wait to get crackin' |
