Aye, me too. I’ve realised that what I don’t like about most mince pies is the buttery/crumbly/melty texture of the pastry. Homemade is the way ahead :)

469 Last night, Fortitude Bakery. Solid constructed pastry, succulent filling (not too sweet), slightly challenging lid (WWII pillbox style thickness with a crunchy sugar topping).
