Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I tore my calf at the Baldock Half a few months back, so have got fat and unfit whilst that was healing. I'm just about able to do 4 miles at the moment, so I'm out this year unfortunatly. Gutted because that medal looks amazing :-/

After a nightmare at Manchester yesterday I'm thinking of doing this. Does anyone know if this will qualify me for a 2015 GFA place in London? (If I can run fast enough)

I'm being consistently plagued by illness... the joys of having small children who bring all manner of bugs back from nursery... and so I'm having to do some serious goal re-assessment but should be on the start line.

Chris - why wouldn't it qualify for a London GFA place? It is an official certified marathon... or am I missing something?

I'm doing this - but I'm running it with a friend whose first marathon it is, so I'll be taking it nice and easy :)

That man from March
New running shoes arrived today :) Have not decided whether to use them at MK or stick with my old ones that are the same make. Will try new shoes out over the weekend and make a decision next week.

I think now is the time at the absolute latest to break them in. I was forced into having to buy new for Manchester and a week before my trainers were throwing up some problems which did go but it was still a worry. Shan't be repeating that again. Can't wait to this year's race. Have our hotel all booked and ready for the roadtrip. Maybe all us Fetchies should meet up at a local afterwards? Just a thought.

Liked the pacing shirts tweeted yesterday, a nice blue colour for 2014. :)
