He's gorgeous !!!
What flea stuff can you recommend ?
Have had cats for 18 years and fleas have never been an issue I would just use the front line drops a couple times a year if that (the late Molly and daisy were pure white and I knew they didn't have fleas)
Then came tommy a ginger again no flea trouble
The last summer came little black kitten cleo she had Been a stray and had fleas. My vets sold me this pump spray and said cats had become immune to frontline as the manufacturers have weakened it so it's no better than bob martins. Well this spray was more than useless so end of April I went another vets and brought x 6 frontline pippettes. I applied before my holiday but 2-3 weeks later they both still scratching so I re applied the next pippettes. And they are still scratching. I think cleo is the worst and being black I can't see fleas on her. I have even brought a flea collar and after I applied that I saw a couple of half dead fleas drop off cleo into my bed. Yuk

I wouldn't mind buying a Decent flea solution on line if anybody can recommend. Thanks
MH

lovely kitten!!!

we've found the injections to be effective for fleas, although my OH came back with frontline on the last trip to the vets. RMo3B, you might have to look doing some flea treatment in your house as well (sorry! - but sometimes with Pets it has to be done) I've used a spray (virbac - I think) which I hated doing at the time, but it did help.

The injection kills fleas on the body of the cat. Frontline can sometimes take a few months of regular dosing to really work. Our cat goes out and socialises with some fleabitten girlie cats and comes back with some bugs. We have sprayed the house and use frontline (one from vet as it is stronger... Combi version) and also comb him. Fleas make a satisfying pop as you squish them :-)

I didn't know you could get flea injections but had the horse injected against feather mites this year and it has been very effective.

I have Advocate from the vets, a spoton solution against almost all parasites, apart from ticks and worms they pick up from eating mice and birds they catch. I started applying it to Lasya once a month since she has been going out and so far so good.

You can't beat a bug-rake and good old-fashioned flea hunt, though the cat gets fed up and I have to chase him around the house to kill just one more...
This is in addition to Frontline. Sometimes you have to be really pro-active and go after the little bastards for real :-)
