Thanks. She has seen the gp a few times. Got blood test results today and going back on Monday again Other than low iron nothing of concern but she wants an explanation. Hopefully she gets the reassurance she needs. |

CBT and mindfulness can be really helpful for anxiety Bazoaxe Sometimes it is not what you say that has importance but just being there. |

Yeah that’s true. Yesterday was a much better day with both of us being there and we got out for a walk to take her mind off things. Then we had a takeaway while the girls watched strictly and then a film. We will see how Monday goes. She is wfh on her own, but has a gp appt at 2pm and her mum is going. Hopefully she leaves there with reassurance |

Can I just say what a great boost this article is? Neuro diverse rower gave up and then came back to Olympic success, after wrong diagnosis of bi-polar, treated with lithium and quetiapine, corrected to autism and just treated with a bit of tolerance and respect! bbc.co.uk from me G |

It’s a great article. I don’t think people realise a lot of what we go through! Just going into a noisy crowded village hall to collect my number for a run can be difficult at times! We usually arrive early to avoid it.

I've always struggled with anxiety. Everything got much worse when I was at Uni, and I was in danger of failing all of my exams. My roommate told me about some things I could do to get better at it, and he even guided me in meditation. I was lucky to have a Psychology student as my roommate because that worked, and I got better grades. Years have passed, but I still face it daily at work and in other life situations. I recently started meditation again, and now I do it with this app gocalmer.com . I use the app because it's available 24/7 to me, and I don't want to pay for therapist sessions. The app can teach you about breathing techniques, but also other tools you can combine with your meditation that will help you have even better results. |
