I was struck by this awful choice and her utter selflessness in making that choice. The more I got to know her the more apparent it was that this was a reflection of how her character. So sad to say goodbye to her

It was a great night. She was a much loved singles thread member and her presence has been missed as she contributed less and less in recent months. She fought long and hard. She was some lady.

She was a regular at many of the Scottish races, who passed away on 15th April 2018. I don't think there's a tribute thread as such, but I do recall many fitting tributes posted on one of the Scottish threads at the time.

Lorraine's Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday the 10th of July 12:30 at Worsley Court House (M28 2PB) and then onto Little Hulton Conservative club (M38 0EH) for a few drinks afterwards. There will be a private committal prior to this as requested by Lorraine. There will be an opportunity to see Lorraine in the Chapel of Rest at Bridgewater Funeral Service Ltd (Boothstown M28 1DB) from Monday (appointment needed for evening visits). We hope to see you at Worsley Court House on the 10th. No flowers please donations to St Anne's Hospice and Target Ovarian Cancer would be greatly appreciated. Bridgewater Funeral Services will take donations. Thanks for all your support and well wishes it's been a great comfort. David, Lynn and Family x
