and rocking from nose to feet on the floor does not count...

I am aiming for 90 degrees so nose stays and inch or two of the floor, but I suspect that will become subject to interpretation as the numbers go up

3 X 10 done this evening as part of my exercise and stretching routine. Actaully did 20 for the last set, but I put one of the other exercises between the pressups so get maybe 2 mins rest. I have my feet apart and generally go down so my nose touched the ground :-)

3x10 was hard after half an hour of breast stroke.

I may at some point move to the way the 100 push up challenge works - only doing them every other day.

I tend to go from straight a to nose an inch or less off the foor, feet together

Well done all - Keep it going!

With regards to the positioning I also find it depends how the arms are placed. If one had is slightly out of place the I seem to put more pressure on the shoulder or chest.

Just caught up with this thread.

Where do I start as I can do 37 straight off the bat in 2 mins?

And: what is the target?

Start wherever you like, how about 3x10 for today, you might as well. The target is as many as you can do in sets of 3. Simples

I hope no one is going to come in and start at something ridiculous. Its quite fun to see who can stay at the same number of press ups per set as the date in Dec if you see what I mean :-) I think I mean that international judo players should wait a while before joining in :-)

Hi all.

3 x 11 done after a run bike/session. Always feels easier once a good warm up.

Will get interesting this week.

3 x 3 yesteday, 3 x 4 today

About This Thread

Maintained by Dogtanian
Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
