3x9 felt harder yesterday. I think I will do my 3x10 today then take a couple of days off to consolidate. Then next week I might start increasing every other day with a light (3x6) day in-between. I'm thinking that I'd never run like this...add half a mile a day until I'm running 50 miles a day, so upper body training should not be different, right?

I suppose you are kinda right there Dog with regards to the running.

Welcome others :-)

Just done my 3 x 10 felt ok but I know this coming week will get difficult. I may see if I can manage next week then take a step back week.

Keep it up!

Just did my 3 x 10 and they felt much easier than yesterdays 3 x 9. Weird. I think I had a bit of a mental block about 3 x 10 but now I'm through it I can crack on. 3 x 11 tomorrow :-).

Well done Lise!

My 3 x 10 done - as I spent most of the afternoon drinking beer, I did not feel a thing!

Couple of technique questions - sure it does not matter, but interested to ask...
- Feet together or apart? (I tend towards together)
- How do you measure a full press up? I am trying to stick to straight arms to 90 degree bend, but just wondering!)

About This Thread

Maintained by Dogtanian
Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
