Handed in kit bag. I certainly wasn't the only one whose bag hadn't arrived yet. You have to do that before collecting bib.
Now in growing queue to collect bib as system not working as computers all being rebooted!

Might just go in a do a lap of the Expo shopping first before doing the bag drop/ number collection bit. Saw the bit about how they will print where your bag is to be collected on your number, which is useful admittedly, so therefore need to drop the bag before number collection. Kind of ignores the handy reference number system they already have in place with the race numbers already though, so why need two systems?!?
Doesn't change the fact that the whole dropping the bag in advance thing is a load of pants which achieves nothing other than annoys the runners.

sorted. it was only the GFA that had computer problems (there is a separate queue for GFA). something to do with the fact they have to print off 2 numbers

you do have to drop your kit bag off (in a separate hall to the bib pick up and running show) before collecting your bib number.
however you could probably try and get into the running show exhibition before going to the other hall to drop your bag and then coming back to collect your number

That is nice, I didn’t know they did different medals for GFA.
With this new system, I wonder if you still get a medal and T-shirt even if you DNF (or DNS as long as you’ve dropped your bag off) as they’ve already been put in your kit bag?
